With my clients’ house sitting centrally within this large, steeply sloping plot, the drive was too narrow and the adjacent garden comprised steep, bare banks and patchy grass. It was crying out for rejuvenation.
A gravel strip, anchored by a stabilization grid, was added as a cost-effective way to increase the width of the drive.
The front of this property is now a delightful combination of terraces with lawned paths and lush, textural planting. Grasses provide movement and a range of low maintenance planting offers colour and structure.
My clients can now relax on their balcony and watch the evolving year-round vista.
